OUTPATIENT CARE


  • Medically necessary consultations with physicians and specialists in OMHSI accredited clinics and hospitals.
  • Treatment of minor injuries and surgeries not requiring hospital confinement.
  • X-ray, Laboratory Examination and Diagnostic and Therapeutic procedures.

Hospital Confinement (Inpatient Care)


  • Room and Board Accommodation
  • Use of Operating Room, Recovery Room, and Intensive Care Unit
  • Professional fees of attending physicians, specialists, surgeons, anesthesiologists
  • Drugs and medicines used during confinement
  • X-ray, Laboratory Examinations, and therapeutic procedures
  • Standard nursing services
  • Anesthesia and its administration
  • Admission kit including ice cap and wee bag

Emergency Care


  • Doctors’ services and fees
  • Emergency Room Fees
  • Medicines and supplies used during treatment
  • Oxygen, intravenous fluids, blood and blood products
  • X-ray, Laboratory, and diagnostic examinations and therapeutic procedures

When Emergency Care is availed of in OMHSI accredited hospitals, the above expense items shall be charged by the hospital to the account of OMHSI.

In cases where a non-accredited hospital performs the emergency care, OMHSI shall reimburse the usual customary and reasonable charges for medical care and services.

However, the covered member shall notify OMHSI within 24 hours following commencement of the emergency.

Annual Physical Examination


The Annual Physical Examination (APE) includes the following:

  • Physical examination with history taking
  • Chest x-ray
  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)
  • Routine urinalysis
  • Routine fecalysis
  • Electrocardiogram (ECG) for members, thirty-five (35) years old and above as recommended
  • PAP’s smear for female members, thirty-five (35) years old and above as recommended.

Dental Care


Dental Care is optional.

  • Any number of dental consultations excluding medicines
  • Dental examinations
  • Simple tooth extractions
  • Temporary fillings
  • Simple annual oral prophylaxis
  • Simple adjustment of dentures
  • Re-cementation of loose crown bridges
  • Other dental services at discounted costs

PREVENTIVE HEALTH CARE


  • Wellness Programs
  • Health education and counseling on diet and exercise
  • Periodic monitoring of health problems
  • Family planning and counseling

Members’ Financial Assistance


  • Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD & D) coverage for all principal members below 65 years old, to be provided by an OMHSI designated insurance company
  • A life plan package that will cover memorial services benefits at reasonable premium rates to be provided by an OMHSI plan partner
